Library informationThe Foothill High School Library contains over 14,000 books, eBooks, audio books and DVDs to meet the curriculum needs of our students and teachers. Computers and Chromebooks are also available for student use. Additionally, students and teachers can access our eBook collection and online databases, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. See Mrs. Tomlinson, in the library, for the database passwords.
The library is open from 6:30AM to 2:00PM. Students may come on their own time before or after school, or if the library is open during lunch time. Teachers may also send small groups or bring whole classes to the library for research, check out, and computer use. The following services are available at the
Foothill H.S. Library: *Check out or return library books. *Use computers and Chromebooks for assignments, word processing, and research. *Get help with your research projects, citations, and MLA format. *Print classroom assignments - no charge, but donations are accepted. *Supply shelf for students, to help with those last minute projects! Library Book Checkout
*Students may check out up to 5 books for three weeks at a time. Overdue Books There are no overdue fines. Students will be charged for lost or damaged books. Don't hesitate to see Mrs. Tomlinson, in the library, if you have any questions about your library record. Book Care Please take care of our books and textbooks! Keep your books away from food, liquids, pets, and small children. Please turn in all textbooks and library books before moving to another school. Students may turn in textbooks and library books to the Foothill Library, from other Clark County Schools. Library Rules *Students will treat computers, Chromebooks, and books carefully. *Students will not bring food or open beverages into the library. Exceptions: Water bottles and covered beverages. *Cell phone use in the library is not allowed during class time, unless approved by Mrs. Tomlinson or a classroom teacher. Students may use their cell phones during lunchtime. |
